Life can be full of transitions—whether you're navigating changes in relationships, career paths, identity, or personal growth. I specialize in supporting individuals through these complex moments, especially when self-doubt, anxiety, or a sense of being overwhelmed starts to take hold. My goal is to offer a compassionate, client-centered space where all parts of your story are welcome and where healing and change feel possible. As a Pre-Licensed Professional and MA in Counseling Psychology student under supervision, I am passionate about creating a safe and affirming environment where you feel seen, heard, and supported.

Growing up, I witnessed the challenges my family faced—language barriers, cultural disconnects in healthcare, and limited access to mental health support that truly understood us. These experiences shaped my passion for providing accessible, client-centered therapy rooted in social justice and cultural understanding. Whether you’re exploring your identity, working through life transitions, or untangling patterns from the past, I’m here to walk alongside you.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy to support each client’s unique story and needs.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. Whether you’re navigating change, uncertainty, or simply want to feel more grounded in your day-to-day life, I’m here to support you. If this resonates with you, feel free to book a complimentary 30-minute consultation.

Pre-Licensed Professional

Being human can be a lot. Life doesn’t always go how we hoped, and sometimes it leaves us stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed. You don’t have to go it alone. I support individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and all stages of parenting, including pre- and postpartum. You don’t need to change who you are to create change. With warmth and curiosity, I help you uncover what’s getting in the way so you can move forward with more ease, connection, and confidence.

As a Pre-Licensed Professional and MA in Counselling Psychology student under clinical supervision, I take a culturally and socially conscious approach rooted in the idea that self-understanding brings peace and vitality. Drawing from ACT, somatic and existential work, we’ll build awareness, restore hope and shift patterns from a mind-body-soul lens.

This is an invitation to discover what might be missing … even the things you didn’t know you were searching for. I offer a free 30-minute consultation so you can get a feel for the process and see if we’re the right fit. This is your space to reconnect—with yourself, your values, and the life you want to build.

Sawil Ghorany

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

A decade ago, I was staying in a cold, dark room in the Indian Himalayas, soaking my feet in hot water at night to stay warm. I’d traveled far from the stable job, house, and life that “should have” meant success and happiness to study meditation and yoga. One thing I learned was that it wasn’t my surroundings that were robbing me of joy and well-being. It was my reaction to life’s challenges. When I returned home to continue studying psychology, I applied those lessons to my studies, my research, my marriage, and then eventually to navigating motherhood, graduate school, and walking alongside my clients.

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) MA in Counselling Psychology under clinical supervision, my approach to therapy is informed by my experiences and by trauma-informed yoga, mindfulness, and nervous system science. I support people who are ready to slow down, reconnect with their bodies and emotions, and find safety and belonging within themselves.

When we begin to feel safe inside ourselves, we can soften, listen, and come home to our bodies. We open up space for healing, choice, and connection. That felt sense of belonging within yourself becomes the foundation for how you relate to others and move through the world with more ease, choice, and presence.

You may feel like you carry so much inside - grief, anxiety, longings, self-doubt, and emotions that are hard to feel or share. You desire connection and peace; with others, yourself, and the world around you, but something feels in the way. You yearn for a life that feels vibrant and true. I offer a space to gently work towards your healing and sense of inner belonging. My path into therapy is shaped by profound personal experiences of struggle and healing, and by years spent in theatre, art/play facilitation, and childcare—experiences that instilled in me a deep love for the human condition and the unique spirit of each person.

As a Pre-Licensed Professional and Expressive Arts Therapy student under clinical supervision, I weave multidisciplinary expressive arts, somatic, psychodynamic, and relational approaches, and bring attunement to existential, transpersonal, and intergenerational themes. Our work is led by your pace and grounded in creativity, curiosity, and care.

If something in this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out for a free 30-minute consultation. Together, we can explore whether working together feels like a fit. In any case, I hold hope and steady belief in your healing and becoming.
